Meet Jillian - A Georgian Bay Mobile Spa Truck and Makeup Artist

Jillian Dilts is an entrepreneurial powerhouse who loves bringing people together through relaxation and beauty. Together with her gal Ruby (a 1962 vintage renovated airstream trailer turned self-care sanctuary on wheels) and her passion for clean products she is ready to solve all of your hair, makeup and nail needs right in a bohemian paradise. She specializes in corporate, bridal parties, bachelorettes & blow outs with your girl gang. When Jillian is not traveling around in her vintage airstream, she is practicing yoga and spending time with her family.

What's a wedding trend you would like to see?

Dried flowers, I’m so obsessed with texture differences we are seeing in arrangements now

What is your wind down ritual after a wedding day?

Calming mood mist from cardea auset, chill tunes and a mini yoga flow + 10 min meditation. This just really allows me to switch gears to being home.

If we were to come into your office, what would we see? (be honest)

RUBY! I don’t have an office or a proper desk I'm literally escaping to the airstream to get work done.

What is your current obsession?

My current obsession is our veggie garden we built. Covid projects for the win. I’m obsessed with how fresh everything is as well its so satisfying to have your own produce.

What is your current favourite local business in Georgian Bay?

uhm this is hard because there are so many amazing businesses. Rosewood + silver is so lovely, plus everything she produces is top notch! I got a custom cuticle oil for services from her.

What is the best present you have ever received? Why?

My grandma’s coral necklace and bracelet from Hawaii. She always talked about their trip there. Plus she was my best friend and reason for many things in my life, so it holds an extra special place to me.

Tell us about a creative piece you worked on that you're extremely proud of.

I got to work on set with The Atelier during their International Women’s Day interviews. Being surrounded by powerful women in business was eye opening! The energy was something I can barely describe.

Favourite ice cream flavour?

Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles

What is your superhero power?

I can clean like really, really fast. My multi-tasking skills are through the roof.

What is something strange or interesting people would never know just by looking at you?

I am a yoga teacher and have been for 9 years now. I’m really looking to incorporate this into all things the spa truck.

Tell us about your all time favourite wedding

My gf got married on a cruise. I was the onsite makeup artist. I would never have considered a cruise wedding, but it was fun. Moving around the ship to different areas almost felt like a scavenger hunt.

What was the biggest blooper you've ever experienced at a wedding?

The groom didn't show up. He called the whole thing off by a text!!!!!!!!!!!!

Favourite snack on a wedding day?

Sandwiches. I’m always ready to eat a sandwich.

What is the most common compliment you get from your couples after working with you?

How lovey I am to be around. It’s weird to be saying that about yourself, however my customer service skills are bang on. So I often hear that from their inquiry to the day of that everything was well taken care of.
