Georgian Bay in Love is always on the hunt for more stories to share, and for more amazing businesses to feature. We love showcasing the area as well as the heart behind the story. Getting published on our blog and social media are amazing ways to showcase your work.

GET FEATURED ON THE BLOG:

One of the easiest ways to get the word out about your business is to submit weddings and other work to the blog. What type of content are we looking for?
Hopefully, this list gets the gears turning:

• Real-life love stories: weddings big and small, stylish and creative elopements, fun-loving engagement shoots, epic anniversary trips, even super-romantic honeymoon stories

• Local favourites: profiles of new businesses, special events, or guides to local gems

• Expert perspectives: thoughtful advice and guidance from wedding and event pros to help you plan your celebration

• Roundups that showcase the Georgian Bay area, local talent, or unique inspiration

  INCLUSIVITY! All couples are welcome on this blog

GET FEATURED ON INSTAGRAM:

For all Instagram features, we pull directly from Instagram when you tag us in your photos, or from the blog posts that have been submitted to us. Tag us with @georgianbayinlove or #georgianbayinlove on your photo. Please make sure you tag us in the photo instead of mentioning us in the caption. These get lost very easily and we may miss your post!

WHO CAN SUBMIT?

Any vendor or couple can submit their wedding, engagement, or elopement for consideration. Please make sure that if you are not the photographer, that you have their permission to submit before doing so. We will not publish a blog without the consent of the photographer. Photographers: For real weddings, engagements, or elopements, we would prefer that you have the permission of the couple ahead of time.

WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?

We are mainly looking for real weddings, engagements, elopements, but we will also feature styled shoots, tips & trick blog ideas. Please make sure you include what type of shoot you are submitting so we can critique it accordingly.

HOW DO I SUBMIT?

Click the submit button at the bottom of this guidelines page. Please make sure you have a dropbox folder or gallery site ready to include in the submission form. All of your images should be resized to 2048px wide and should be in the sRGB colour space. Please note that we do not accept images that contain a watermark or graphic elements. If you aren’t sure, please email us.

HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN I SUBMIT?

For a real wedding please curate it down to 50-75 images. For any other submission please curate it down to 30-50 images. Please do NOT submit a full gallery. We will not accept full galleries to curate.

WILL YOU FEATURE WORK THAT HAS BEEN BLOGGED BEFORE?

We prefer to have brand new content that has not been featured yet, especially so we don’t step on the toes of other blogs. For that reason, we do ask that you have not submitted this elsewhere. You can, however, blog it on your own site. Hey! You can even link back to this blog post in it! Wicked!

WHEN CAN WE EXPECT TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU?

We will respond back within 15 business days if your submission has been accepted. If you are submitting a real wedding/engagement/elopement, we will be in touch with the couple to ensure they are excited to be featured on the site. We may be back in touch to ask for some further details.

HOW MANY LOCAL BUSINESSES NEED TO BE INVOLVED?:

For wedding submissions, you must have at least 2 local vendors other than just the venue in order to be considered for the blog. Please make sure you link all of the vendors you possibly can in your submission. We welcome all types of weddings. Period.

WHY WASN'T MY SUBMISSION SELECTED FOR PUBLICATION?

We’d love to be able to feature everything that comes our way, but we won’t always be able to. It doesn’t mean we don’t love your work, just that we might already have something similar on the blog or lined up to be published. We still love you and are so grateful for you taking the time to share your work with us -- and hey! Luckily, there are still ways for us to show off how awesome you are. Consider tagging us on social media or listing with the directory! Or, you might have another amazing idea or story to tell down the road that's the perfect fit.
