Magical sunset engagement session in Wasaga Beach
COUPLE:
Meghan & Liam
Location:
Wasaga Beach
From the Photographer:
This is my favourite spot in Georgian Bay! The sand dunes are simply magical at sunset and they're a best kept secret in the Georgian Bay area. The dunes tower high over the river that winds through wasaga beach township. The sand is soft and fluffy and is guarded by forests that offer lots of private nooks that pretty much only local fishermen know about. Meghan reached out for their engagement session as a post lockdown pick me up as they had a longer engagement than anticipated due to the pandemic. I always put a lot of care and thought into locations I choose for my couples and I knew this was a spot that they would remember forever and they truly deserved it. I enjoy capturing real people and I appreciated that Meg and Liam didn't try to be anything they were not making this session anything but "classic".
From the Couple:
How did you choose your location? Marie, our photographer, chose the perfect spot. We didn't even know it was there and we are so happy she chose it.
How did you and your partner meet? We met while at University in Ottawa, we had mutual friends.
How did you fall in love? We were together at University, but we fell in love when Liam asked me to move across the country with him to Whistler, BC and I could not say no. We found "us" there and never looked back.
What's your favourite thing about them? His outlook on life - your heart only gets so many beats so make those beats count.
When/where did you or your partner propose? Liam proposed on a trip we took to Whistler after we had moved back to Ontario. He took me on a long bike ride to a favourite hiking/swim spot of ours on an beautiful emerald green lake. I think our wedding day will be the only day that tops this one.
