Late summer sunflower filled couples session in Meaford

Hayley had a vision from the beginning when she booked with me. She envisioned her photos being done in a field, surrounded by sunflowers and at sunset but also wanted to incorporate Lane's truck that holds sentimental value to both of them. This was a task for me, to work with the timeline we had as well as finding locations that would meet her vision. I wanted it to be absolutely perfect for her. This session was so unique because it went above and beyond the "classic" engagement photo session and really incorporated important things for them as individuals as well as as a couple. For me, this session was all sorts of unique as it was the first time I had shot in sunflower field, with a truck and at all new locations.

From The Couple:

How did you choose your location?

We’re getting married at my Fiancé’s family farm! It was a no brainer. They have a beautiful place in Sauble Beach with lots of space to party (pending covid).

How did you meet?

We went to the same high school for grade 9 but didn’t get a chance to meet (I had a crush from afar). We ended up connecting on tinder in 2018!

How did you fall in love?

That depends on who you ask! He took me for a late night drive in his prize possession (1988 GMC Sierra aka “good red”) for our second date -I knew then that I could see myself spending a lot of time with him. It was so easy ! I started falling in love with lane when I realized how much he loves and cares for his family -he’s amazing and so kind-hearted. After a short time I realized he was the one for me and I loved him.

What's your favourite thing about them?

Hes the most patient man I’ve ever met.

When/where did they propose?

We’re currently building a house together -on July 3 he took me to our property and when I wasnt looking/paying attention got down on one knee!
